The above schedule is subject to change. Updates will be provided for the parent and posted in the daycare when
needed.
Breakfast time depends on the time of the child’s arrival.
Activities commence after the child finishes eating. Different planned activities
are scheduled each day. Throughout the week, these
activities focus on skills that span all developmental domains.
Circle time is a quiet transition between outdoor play and
lunch, where the children are read a story, sing a
song, or experience other sit-down activities.
Children receive approximately two hours of outdoor play
each day, weather permitting. If the weather prohibits play outdoors, a gross
motor activity will substitute.
Time is allocated for young
children to take a nap in the afternoon. Children who do not require a nap will
have free play time.
A healthy, nutritious snack and juice is
provided for the children in the afternoon. Infants and toddlers will
receive their snack and a bottle.
Attendance is checked regularly
throughout the day.
Section 6 (b)
The program plan is based on
Emergent Curriculum. These plans serve as general guidelines rather than a
strict schedule that must be followed. Planned
activities are occasionally created within themes (such as public holidays or
events) however they are mainly created in response to
the children’s cues, skills and interests.
